South Dakota!

South Dakota is by far my most favorite place on the entire earth. I was so stoked to be able to go back this year and take Carter and Savannah to all my favorite places! This year we went with my family and our family friends the Nelson's!

The first day we went to a diner for lunch in Hill City.

Next we went to Bear Country!

When we went into the gift shop, Savannah came up to me with this bear she had found and said "We buy this Mommy?" It was so stinking cute I couldn't say no!

That evening we went to Rapid City to play some Mini Golf! The last time we were here we discovered this Miniature golf course and it was the bomb.com so we had to go back!

One of the employees there came out and gave Savannah this Pirate hat and a bag that had an eye patch, pirate and flag in it! They also let her pick two golf balls to keep! They were awesome! It made the whole experience even better, we will definitely be returning! :)

The next day we went through Custer park! The view of the Black Hills is gorgeous!

At one point we stopped to feed the donkeys!

Next we went on Needle's Highway where you drive through very tiny tunnels and eventually you come to this rock formation that looks like the hole in a needle!

The tunnels! Only one car can go through at a time. 

Next: Mt. Rushmore!!

Next we went to a Pizza place in Keystone for dinner. They had this map up where you could put a pin on where you're from!

Ours is the small mint colored pin!

The next day we went to see the Badlands!

Then we stopped at Wall Drug. It's basically a mall with tons of different Souvenir shops!

This is where Papa bought Savannah her adorable Moccasins! Thanks again Dad! :)

The next day we went to Sylvan Lake and went on a hike all the way around it!

For those who don't know, Sylvan Lake is where they filmed part of National Treasure 2!

Later that night we went to Keystone again for dinner and did a little more shopping!

Savannah loves her new sweater!

Savannah loved this loft where Aunt Emma and Grace slept in our Cabin. Whenever we were there she would demand to play up there. It was adorable. :)

We LOVED South Dakota and can't wait to go back!

Well that was our trip! We had a blast and thoroughly enjoyed our time with the Nelson's and my family. :)

Trip to San Diego!

So this year for the 4th of July we went to visit family in San Diego! My Uncle had the opportunity to go through the San Diego Temple and we were all invited to join him so we went with my family for a quick getaway! 

The first night there we of course had to go to our favorite Sandwich shop!

Happy 4th of July Y'all!

We got to spend the 4th at Mission Bay!

Savannah had a blast playing in the sand! We were even able to collect more seashells for her collection!

We had a BBQ while we were there! 

We were in the perfect spot to watch the fireworks at Seaworld!

The next day we went to the San Diego Temple! It was gorgeous and is definitely one of my new favs!

Next was a stop to our favorite Taco shop in Lucadia!

Then of course we had to stop at the t-shirt shop. For those of you who don't know basically the only shirts my family will wear are San Diego shirts from this shop. They're the best!!

This is the restaurant my Grandpa used to own. We come here every time we're in town! We love the BBQ pit!

Well that was our quick trip to San Diego! It was a blast and we have a lot of fun every time we go. I can assure you this won't be our last trip there that's for sure. :)

Park City baby!

Anyone who knows me would know that I love Park City! WELL... for my birthday this year Carter surprised me with a weekend getaway to where? Park City! I was stoked! Savannah got to stay with Grandma and Grandpa on Friday and Nana and Pop Pop on Saturday! Carter had that all arranged so I didn't need to plan anything! Other than packing since Mom is the one who would know what to send her with. ;) Then on our way we went! The first night we did some shopping! I had gotten a gift card for my bare minerals make-up so that was stop numero uno! Thanks again Jamie and Jared! Then we went to Old Navy to find matching flag shirts for Carter and Savannah for the 4th of July! We went to dinner, and then decided to go see Maleficent! It was awesome!

The next morning we rushed to get ready so we could make it to Draper for our friends Kelsey and Preston's wedding!

Seriously, look at how gorgeous this chick is! She was a beautiful bride!

We went back to Park City so that we could go change, and get some lunch before we went and did some of the things we had planned. But first we had to Face time our little bug! She's so dang cute. :)

First on the list was the Alpine Coaster!

Next was the Alpine slide. This one I was particularly nervous for since Carter had told me how he and his brother had gotten seriously injured because they were stupid when riding this ride. There were 4 tracks to choose from, I chose this one...

It seemed like a dirty trick to me. 

Needless to say I went oober slow... Haha:)

We went to dinner at Baja Cantina! I loved that chimichanga!

Later I practically begged Carter to take me to Cold Stone for some French Vanilla Cookie dough Ice cream!! My fav! Along with a DP of course. ;)

It was the best birthday present ever! It was an awesome celebratory birthday weekend! Thanks Babe, you rock!
